Questions

Customs FAQ

How long does customs clearance take?

Most sea shipments clear in two to four working days after arrival, and air shipments in one to two. Cargo picked for examination can take a few days longer.

Can I claim back the IGST I pay at customs?

If you are GST registered and the Bill of Entry is filed under your GSTIN, the IGST is available as input tax credit.

What if customs disagrees with the invoice value?

Customs can reassess the value if it looks too low. We help you avoid this by declaring correct values and keep you informed if it happens.

Can you clear a shipment booked by someone else?

Yes. Send us the bill of lading or air waybill, invoice and packing list and we can take over clearance only.
